Project Summary

Two alums of a big-name, CPG food brand set out to redefine an entire grocery aisle with canned beans that felt more like a dinner party than a drag. While recipes were finalized and samples were circulated, we turned up the volume on an ingredient-led identity that flirted with nostalgia but marched to its own beat.

Pantry Stacks

Inspired by cans themselves at every turn, our kooky, blocky wordmark squares up neatly, evoking a stocked a pantry shelf. 

Labels

Ingredient-led labels blended whiffs of nostalgia while reinforcing the bold, imaginative flavors that set Heyday’s beans apart. Colorblocking creates an eye-catching visual cue for shoppers.

Heyday Sans Custom Font

The brand’s typeface was designed in two weights, lending an offbeat sensibility to its stackability. Throughout the brand world, weights are intentionally blended and swapped in and out.
